Skiing&Water Park! 14.12.12

Sorry Daniel for calling you David and sorry for misspelling Shinoo. Woops :)
--------------

It was supposed to snow today but it didnt! It rained instead :c
So, today we spent most of the day indoors at Woongjin Playdoci which is this massive building providing awesome indoor facilities like a golf course, skii area and a water park. Normally its shiz expensive but Amy's cousin works there so we got in for free! Thanks Amy! :D :D

It was freezing cold and we had to wait for the boys who were always late! We couldnt feel our toes.. or our faces. (Thats right feel guiltyyyy c:< )

We eventually got icecream at BR while waiting just so we could get out of the freezing cold. Korea is so whatevs about the heating in winter.. every single shop or cafe is cranked up to the highest temp... poor polar bears :c

Addicted to BR!! "Gone with the wind" flavour :D its like raspberry cheesecake with chunks of cream cheese.. yum

So like 2 hours after our initial meeting time, we headed off to the Play City! :D :D

First we went to the indoor ski area where we got special treatment cause of Amys connections hehehe..

WEEE! Its like 2 different levels of steepness. We only stayed on the first level cause we were so noob..

Go up the escalatorrrrrr. So convenient! Unlike those outdoor ski places like Thredbo where it was the biggest mission to go back up the hill on foot...

Hehe Amy :D I'm going to assume you gave me consent to post up pictures of you.. please dont flag me ...

The view from the first level.

Ok, so this was like the first time skiiing in 2 years ish.... But i totally forgot about that and was so confident and started sliding down... when suddenly i started gaining speed like crazy until i was pretty much going straight down at like 200km/h.. The guys were saying how all they saw was this blurr zhoom past going "aaaaaAAAAAAAAAAHHHhhhhhhhhh" ...
I crashed straight into the safety nets and half broke them o.o
it was so so so so so embarassing ==

One of the workers fixing up the safety net after my crash.... so embarassing

But then after a mini ski lesson from pro Amy, i finally got the hang of it! :D no more crashes yey! I was actually pretty good by the end of it!

The guys snowboarding.

After the intense session of skiiing and snowboarding, we headed off to lunch!

Mandu again.. i love mandu :3 theyre like little soft pockets of joy!!

Then we headed down to the water park!!

hahahahaa

I couldnt take my camera into the water park so theres no photos.. but heres an image i stole of google :L
This is only one section of the water park. the place was massive!

So in Korea, the changerooms are all open... theres no cubicles or anything to get changed in.. its just one big room of lockers and showers and dressing tables full of old women strutting around in their birthday suit.. It was awks :L

But Koreans have the best dressing room/table thingos.. (still part of the changerooms so theres still naked people arond) But its this massive room where they provide free lotions, creams, hair dryers, fans, scales and other goodies! Oh, and you dont even need to bring a towel! everythings provided o.o theres even a speed tumble dryer so you dont have to lug home wet clothes!
so good.... c:

The water park was so much fun and the slides were super good! But the water was warm so it felt like we were wading in pee water......
So we migrated to the spa area c:

It was so so sooo good!

Oh and in the spa area, there was this small pool for Dr. Fish. If you dont know what that is, google it.. i must say the images on google are kinda gross.. but the one we did wasnt that bad. Kinda like this :

Yeh i didnt have my camera on me, I WISH I DID >:
so google imgs will have to suffice :L

Okay, so theres this small pool of tiny fish and when you put your feet in, they come racing to you and start eating all your dead skin, so its pretty much live exfoliation..?

For the first 20 minutes, me and Amy couldnt do it cause our feet are super duper ticklish. But we got there eventually :L and soon, we had our feet covered in tiny little fish.. it kinda felt like soft pins and needles haha..

So i guess thats one thing off my bucket list..

There were also these outdoor spas which were awesome. So we were just chilling outside, half naked in minus something weather in super hot spas. WHY MY CAMERA NO WATERPROOF.
The place was so pretty! It was located in this really calm and serene environment all fogged up by the spas.. it looked like the mountain place in Karate Kid! so cool..

TOO MANY WORDS..
anyway.
After the super fun and super relaxing day at the Play City, we headed back to Gangnam to have dinner with my sister!

We ate at this ddukbokki place. It was kinda like hot pot where you tick things off on this piece of paper and you can add more stuff to the giant pot of stuff... except you can drink the broth....
great description i know. :/ adv eng all the way...

we ordered 2 of these massive pots :D

Then after youve eaten everything, you can ask for them to mix in rice with the left over broth to make Bokkumbab! (which is like bibimbab without the veggies). Sooo gooodddd.

We ate so much.... well at least i did :3

Then afterwards, we just chilled at Tom n Toms cafe.

Tourists ! :D

I swear in Australia, i never used to chill at cafes after meals... but in korea its like second nature. So when you think about it, it doesnt really matter how cheap the meals are here, since we always migrate to some expensive cafe afterwards it kinda cancels it out. :p
EPOUGHTHGH mind blown.
